Well done Whitters. All the best to you all.
Good training session on Tuesday. Get down if
you've not been yet. My muscles are slightly
tendor after the sprint work. Nothing prepares
you for that. Don't forget Saturday again.
11am prompt. It will have to be very bad
weather for it to be called off. Tell me if
your coming and I can let you know the call
asap. We have Ben? Damo, Me, Tim and the Doc.
Where are the rest of you?

Good Session
I thought last night was a really good session.
Good to see so many faces down. Thanks Dean and
Damo. Lets see if some of you yet to show come
down either Sat or next Tues. Apart from those
injured of course. I hope the ankle improves
Jase. The highlight of last night was Iain's
borat suit. Magic! Someone get that picture on
the website. Also, someone tell the Doc' he can
park his car near ours.

Lads some of the new laws to take note!
The proposed law amendments are:
* In the original version of the laws, players
were allowed to use their hands at all times at
the breakdown. A slightly different rule,
prohibiting hands in the ruck but making it only a
free kick, has been trialled as well. The final
rule regarding hands in the ruck has not been
established. In any event, players must come into
the breakdown in an onside position, and only
players who are on their feet are allowed to play
the ball. The side that takes the ball into the
breakdown loses it if they do not recycle possession.
* At the scrum, all backs except for the two
scrum-halves must be at least 5 metres behind the
hindmost foot of the scrum, instead of level with
it as allowed in the current laws.
* Either side can use as many players as they
like in the lineout, at any time, providing they
fit between the 5-metre line and the 15-metre line.
* The opposing hooker in a lineout no longer
has to stand between the 5-metre line and
touchline; he can stand anywhere he wishes as long
as he conforms to the laws.
* On a quick throw in the ball can be thrown
straight or back towards the defenders' goal line,
but not forwards towards the opposition goal line.
* Where touch judges are trained referees,
they will be referred to as assistant referees,
with responsibility for policing the offside lines.
* Penalty kicks are generally to be given only
for offside and foul play. Most other penalties
will become free kicks, with the option of taking
a scrum as in the current laws, which cannot be
used for a kick at goal or a dropped goal.
* If the ball is passed or run back into the
22 and then kicked out on the full before a
tackle, ruck or maul is effected, the resulting
lineout is taken from where the kick was made.
However, if the kick bounces into touch, the
lineout is taken from where the ball went into
touch, as in the present laws.
* The maul can be collapsed by defending sides
without incurring a penalty if the forward
momentum of the attacking side has been
neutralised or reversed, subject to maintaining
safety.
* The corner flag, currently situated where
the try line meets the touchline, will become part
of the field of play. Under the current laws, a
try is disallowed if a player touches the corner
flag while attempting to touch the ball down,
because the flag itself is in touch.
|
The above post is all wrong as only so many have
been adopted!!!!
|
* These wont effect us
• Where touch judges are trained referees,
they will be referred to as assistant referees,
with responsibility for policing the offside
lines. Only if appointed to the game wont effect
us this is one for higher level will only effect
county cup Final ect
• The corner flag, currently situated where
the try line meets the touchline, will become
part of the field of play. Under the current
laws, a try is disallowed if a player touches the
corner flag while attempting to touch the ball
down, because the flag itself is in touch.
Wont effect our game as this is mainly for TV
matches to help the TMO

Possible Tour?????????
I have just been on Ryanairs website and came
across
cheep flights to Shannon from birmingham.
I was wondering if this would be a possibel tour
destination?
Flights out on a Thurs night at 10pm
Flights back sunday arrive back at 21.20 sunday
This would cost about £15 each
Later flights for the teachers can fly out on the
Friday night at the same times for £36
We could fly out on the friday morning from
Eastmids at a better time of 11am
But fly back into Birmingham on the later sunday
flight to give max time there for about £36 and
saving on a nights hotel costs
For a hotel we can use the seven mile inn just
outside Limerick.
Any one got any better ideas?????
