anyone to drop out or let us down.
We all need to be at Nuneaton old Eds by 10.15 on
Sunday at the latest.
• Directions
Post Code - CV10 0AL Car parking might be a
nightmare I've been told so get there sooner
rather than later if you want to park in the car
park! The clubs on Weddington Road in Nuneaton
which is the A444
• Please phone me or Locky if you can’t
make it as we will have to find players to fill
you place. 07702 000820
• It looks like we have the making of a
good side however we will be up against so good
opposition.
• Don’t forget it’s a long day so bring
plenty of food and drink for the day.
• And thanks to Locky and Harding we will
have a gazebo which they are planning to get
there early and erect for us in a prime position

Tens roundup & Thanks
I would like to thank everyone who turned up.
Last week it looked like we would not get a side
but i could not have asked for better. 16 players
turned up along with their wives, Girlfriends,
Children, and Mums in Locky's case.
• The day for all who were absent was
enjoyed by all. Hopefully it is something we can
add to the fixtures list every year. Old Eds Tens
has been going for a number of years and has some
good teams enter. I am told it has been over 10
years since Market Bosworth entered a side and we
are always welcome and it has been good to see us
attend again and they hope we continue to enter.
• We got the luck in the Draw and managed
to avoid some of the more fancied teams in Ronin
and some of the local first teams. However we did
get to play against last years finalists St
Mary’s who ended up wining our group.
• A good first opening game against Sparkys
A ( a team made up of former Nuneaton Colts
players many who are playing around the Country
at National league clubs) it was very close at
half time then a discisson by the referee
overruling the touch Judge and a watching referee
allowed a try final result 33-nil. Highlight of
the match Moley’s Nose which set the scene for
who hard the rugby would be.
• Following match we played Beers on me
which is a team made up of Nuneaton Old Eds 3rd
and stormed into a lead a half time wanting to
rest some key players for the next game 4 tries
up I removed Damo & Burton from the game (to
avoid Injury). I then had my arsehole pounding
for the next ten minutes as they scored 2 tries
in quick succession. We then attempted to rush
things rather than slow the game down. Point to
mention Michael Harding squaring up to one of
their players and getting kissed. Hopefully a
learning curve for everyone involved. We did come
out of this game with a Victory 27-14 which was
our goal of the day when we saw the teams who we
were drawn against. Well done to the guys who
played in this one. Highlight of the match the
free flowing rugby and the off loading of the
ball by Iain Martin and Pikey Stu.
• Team Gouch were our next opponents’ this
was a side from Manchester University who had
entered the event for the first time after
watching them over power Nuneaton old Eds in the
opening match. We picked a strong side for this
one. With a game plan of bullying them up front
we played a close hard fought game buy leaked a
break away try. We could have had more scored
against us if not for some good cover tackling of
or backs. We could have scored by a break from
Scud but he was brought down short by their
backs. Then late on we had another chance but
hands let us down again. We played some good
rugby in this game and lost out to some fine
margins a match we could and should have won
however we lost 5-nil. Highlight of the match was
when we were under pressure deep in our own 22
the turn over and breakout to be further up the
pitch.
• Our final game was against St Marys
College London with nothing to play for except
pride. We started well and held them out for 7
minutes they had expected to run riot. A game
where our forwards tore them apart up front in
the scrum. A useful out fit they were but we game
them a hard time and made them work for the
result which finished 33-nil. Highlights of the
match was our pack destroying their scrum,
Michael Harding scuffling with the Little Ginger
welsh winger who was prone to biting. He Bit me
once and got a wack round the jaw for it.
• Summery Played 4 won 1, hit a Welsh
Bloke, Bullied some Soap dodging students who my
tax is paying for. And above all put Market
Bosworth on the Map with an invite to go back
next year. I enjoyed the day and hope you all did
too.
• Thanks to Damo who Captain the side, Dean
who managed the side. This is a partnership that
will work well next year together at the helm of
the 3rd team. Locky who made lots of phone calls
last couple of weeks getting you all together and
Harding who along with Locky got there early and
put the gazebos up. And finally to you all who
took part and put you bodies on the line for
Market Bosworth 3rd’s.

Good day lads
Very enjoyable day yesterday lads. We did well and
all had a laugh! Highlights for me was skuddy
falling over at the last hurdle and deans snipper
shot leg! We made a good day out of it. Yes i did
loose my cool a little bit but did not do anything
this time! I felt sorry for that welsh ginger 4
foot f*ck all. Hadnt really got much going for him
but think he learnt his lesson after toms smack.
But besides that enjoyed it all. A few of us
stayed and watched the other games and it seemed
that there was a good standard of games. I would
like to mention we did have some bosworth traters
there tho. lewis brightmore and Morley were
playing for manor park. They did appologise and
have asked not to be burnt by jase. I'll let jase
decided hahaha. Thanks for a great day tho lads.

Driving
Come on then Anon, who are you? I am always
courteious on the road...I can only assume you had
your radio on too loud listening to cliff richard
whilst driving in your slippers oblivious to what
is around you. And as you were about to miss the
junction - most likely you cut me up in your
error, eating into the breaking distance I had
allowed for the car in front.

Rugby
Guys it's been a great season. I'm sorry I
haven't played more this year but i've either been
stolen by the 2nds or busy with work. But for all
of you who have had withdrawl symptoms don't worry
I will be back next year; fitter, faster, stronger.
|
burton tosses again
You have your head so far up your own arse no
wonder you don't see other cars coming but you
do speed up to cut them up on purpose... knob
jockey

driving
whos this anon bloke, i like his abuse towards
burton because he drives like a cunt, i get
flashbacks every time i aproach the junction
where he went through 2 red lights and nearly
killed us all! and i take it that whitters will
be moley's team mate in this sevens tournament
next year!
|
How about Anon gets some bollocks and says who
he is! No need for it in my opinion, its
happened so get over it!
|
vickers look at the stats
all i can say is look at the stats!! i heard
they were looking for grotesque people at this
event sound s like you would fit in well
vickers.. As for burton how did you pass your
test nearly killed several people last season
going to a couple of games.. book a retest!!
Locky if he/she grew some bollocks you would
shit yourself!!

Could have played in Plate Semis
On count back we finished 10th as we had the
highest points difference for a team winning once.
St marys were the Highest qualifiers but withdrew
from the semis
Starkeys stomers finished second in our group
and finished as the fourth highest qualifier to
enter the main cup semis.
With St marys withdrawing Team Gouch were given
the chance to play in the plate as they were
ninth higest qualifiers they had left which ment
we could have still made the plate semi finishing
in tenth but we left early.
Note for next year see who sticks around for
semis as we could get pulled up.
